Thom Browne men’s tailoring and sport coats are designed with heritage techniques in flattering fits that lend tailored polish to any look. Our sport coats are crafted in Italy, Switzerland and Japan from rich wool, silk, cotton and cashmere for the highest quality finishes.
Sport coats are designed in fits ranging from the structured classic and high-armhole shapes to the softer forms of the sack and unconstructed fits. Sport coats can be paired with corresponding trousers for a matching suit, or worn as standalone pieces to add tailored polish. The characteristically high, trim sleeves and hems of classic Thom Browne tailoring have been credited with influencing modern menswear proportions.
Vests are crafted in fabrics like silk faille for black tie evenings or with wool twill tipping to accompany a classic twill blazer for a tailored three-piece suit.
Classic twill is a foundational Thom Browne tailoring material, made of 100% wool in fine super 120’s quality. The classic Thom Browne uniform was built upon a classic suit and tie in super 120’s wool twill.
Flannel and tweed sport coats are developed in wool and cashmere. They nod at traditional men’s tailoring, while featuring exclusive Thom Browne details like the signature 4-bar detailing along the left arm. The tweed fabrics are crafted with original cloth-making recipes by renowned Scottish mills.
Seersucker and cotton twill sport coats are constructed in 100% cotton with a light texture for warm-weather dressing. Thom Browne seersucker tailoring is lightweight and structured, with a puckered texture that allows for temperature regulation.
Suiting maintenance: when you hang a Thom Browne suit, use a thick cedar hanger. Wood absorbs any moisture buildup in the lining of your suit, and rounded edges support the shoulder pads and help your suit retain its shape. Be sure to store your suit in a breathable cupboard—don't squeeze it in. For extra protection, use a lightweight cloth garment bag to keep your suit clean, dust-free, and away from moths.
