thom browne and baccarat
thom browne celebrates the launch of a limited-edition capsule collection with baccarat. envisioned in new york and crafted in lorraine, france, thom browne reedits iconic pieces from the baccarat patrimoine, many for the first time since the early 1900s.
curated to compliment the world of thom browne, the collection services quality entertaining. a set of whiskey glasses and carafe service, champagne coupes, and a pair of yacht glasses combine the subtlety of baccarat crystal with recognizable iconography of thom’s design. with the brand’s four-bar motif, each piece in the collection is engraved to represent the elegance of baccarat and modernism of thom browne.
reedited from baccarat’s archive in celebration of this collection, the yacht glasses and champagne coupes are made available for the first time in nearly 100 years. created by baccarat in 1925 for the prince of wales, the yacht glass was reintroduced for the first time since 1933 after being presented on exhibition at the musee de arts decoratifs. the art deco shape was designed to navigate on the queen elizabeth yacht and remain steady in the event of turbulent weather. the normandie champagne coupes first introduced in 1953, represent the purest form of elegance created with a baluster leg.
