thom browne's new retail flagship in san francisco was celebrated this past week, as thom joined with quince restaurant to welcome both new and longstanding members of the thom browne family to the historic jackson square neighborhood. the intimate dinner kicked off with guests enjoying krug champagne and quince’s classic caviar panna cotta.
designed in collaboration with vicenza based ASA studio and their founding partner flavio albanese, the san francisco store features rows of fluorescent tube lighting, white calcutta and carrara marble floors and banker grey bardiglio and carrara marble walls.
inside the 18th century landmark yeon building with its brick and timber facade that remains true to the history and architecture of the neighborhood.
thom chose the singer maggie rogers as his partner for the evening, who performed live wearing classic uniform. “we’re all so privileged to get to experience maggie,” thom said on friday. “her talent, everybody knows and appreciates, and to have her here in person is something really special. it’s something we have been talking about for a long time that has just enhanced the evening.”
